IMO has adopted amendments to SOLAS Chapter III and the LSA Code, as well as related Guidelines to all manufacturers, ship owners and ship builders for a mandatory change and improvement on the Lifeboat Release and Retrieval System (LRRS). It is now a requirement that ship owners and ship builders to replace their old system with new LRRS not later than the next scheduled dry-docking after 1 July 2014, but no later than 1 July 2019.
With extensive research and experiment, Vanguarde has developed a user-friendly ‘Csafe’ hook which performs maximum safety and quality to counter all climates and conditions. All Csafe hooks of size 5 tons, 8.5 tons & 10 tons have been tested and compliant with the latest LSA Code Amendments as amended by IMO/MSC. 1/Circ. 1392 Regulations. The hook is equipped with a unique technology ‘Fail Safe’ design to prevent unintentional operation of on-load release. All Vanguarde’s Csafe hooks are capable of being retrofitted onto most makes of lifeboat.
