Fall Prevention Devices
Vanguarde’s state-of-art Fall Prevention Devices (Fibre Strops) serve as additional safety device incorporated between the lifeboat’s hook release system and the fore and aft davit system which prevents the unintentional release of a lifeboat (or rescue boat) due to failure or misuse of the release system.
Meeting the guidelines set in MSC 1392, the fibre strops are an ideal and cost effective additional safety measure. Tested and witnessed by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and it comes with various Class Certificates ensuring quality and reliability. The Fibre Strop is a plug & play device that can be fitted onto any makes of lifeboat.

Technical Specification
The technical specifications of the fibre strop are as follows:-
Diameter 18mm x length approx. 700mm
Safe working load: 6.5 tons per strop
Max breaking load: 39 tons per strop (based on a safety factor of 6)

- Shackle x 4 pcs (6.5 tons)
